I am very interested in what Ching Ching creates because she is a rare contemporary artist who I believe does very solid, original and meaningful work. I hope someday she gets world recognition. I saw Ching Ching's work in the California State Fair fine art competition (big honor to get into this show because of such heavy strong competition) this year, the book-camera, it was very good. I had a piece in the same show, a watercolor/poem about japanese tsunami. We also had a visiting famous artist from China at that show named Xiang Shi who lives in Beijing and my friend Chinese American Ning Hou was also there for 1 week. So nice that Ching Ching was able to spend 3 months there at 9 ¾ studio. Wow!!! So lucky. Maybe someday I can do the same. She has an interesting life, going from Taiwan, to USA, then back to China then back to the USA. I live in California as well but someday want to spend much more time in China again. I am happy that I can read this website about Nordica and 9 ¾ studio, I met Luo Fei when I was there in 09. Even though I have not been to Kunming in 2 years now, I will go back!!! I love Kunming. I look at the TGC Nordica and 9 ¾ studio websites often to see what is happening. Zai jian Ni hao, Nice work!!!
